Here are some photos of the first Kamikaze Airfield at the Mabalacat East Airfield, located at town of Mabalacat, Pampanga, Luzon, Philippines. The original marker was destroyed during the Mt. Pinatubo eruption of 1991. Now, the marker has been re-erected and a ceremony was held lat October to remember the birth of the Kamikaze. The airfield is now a sugar cane field and when harvest time comes, you can still see the outline....
