Personally, I like:
"The Divine Wind" by Inoguchi, Nakajima, and Pineau. In my opinion, it’s the best story of the history of the kamikaze.
"Kamikaze" by Kuwahara is an outstanding autobiography of a pilot training to be a kamikaze. This book may be difficult to find however as it was a rather obscure Ballentine Book from the late 1960's.
"Thunder Gods" by Naito is a bit hard to follow but it does describe the personal lives of the pilots.
"Suicide Squads" by O'Neill is an excellent book on the weapons, tactics, and history of the Kamikaze. As a bonus, it includes sections on suicide missions of the British, Italians, and the Germans.
"Suicide Weapon" by Barker is also an excellent book on weapons, tactics, and history.
I'd recommend checking out MX Bookfinder on the Internet to find the best prices of new and used books. I got most of these titles using this service and was amazed at some of the great deals I got by shopping on the Net.
Good luck in your literature search!

Kamikaze - Japan's Suicide Samurai by Raymond Lamont-Brown is a particularly good read and is probably one of the best books I have on the subject in my collection. It is published by Arms and Armour Press ISBN 1-85409-367-3 and is available in both a hard and soft cover version. Good luck.
