CV based Myrts?

Hello all,
My references on the Myrt are almost non existent and I was wondering if the Myrt ever did see action based off of CV's? If so- what tail code number series would they have carried.
The references I do have do not mention or show ship based Myrts so I imagine the answer is no but I'd like some verification. Thanks in advance,

Dan

Hi Dan-san and Grant-san,
I would like to add 121 Kokutai as an example. (Hiko-taicho = Lt. Cdr. Chihaya) For further information, please visit the URL shown below.
C6N was supposed to be carried on CVs WITH A7M and B7A.
Taiho, Shinano, Unryu class...they were supposed to carry this "trio". (And Shokaku class...maybe...)
Do you remember that Tamiya 1/700 Taiho includes ONE C6N?

Thanks,

Chihaya and 121 Ku
Looking for Saiun (Myrt) Night Fighter information

Hi all,
I intend to build the 1/72 Fujimi Saiun "Night Fighter" version with the gun mounted above the cockpit.
I'm looking for cockpit photographs showing this weapon system installation (The Maru book contains only one exterior photo of this particular plane, I've never seen another).
Does this version of the Saiun was produced in large numbers or remains only experimental ?
Thanks for the information !

Regards,
J.C. DANIS

The full photo set is published in Maru Mechanic 15 (1979) on the C6N1.

Actually, there is also a very good closeup of the installation available somewhere (I will get the reference), but it is strictly a one-off field retrofit of the 30 mm Type 5 cannon. The "standard" Myrt nightfigther used twin Type 99 20 mm guns which did not show above the cockpit top.

There are photos of the single 30 mm in Maru Mechanics book and the NASM's Myrt has twin 20 mm set up, photos in Bob Mikesh's new book.

I believe that there was only one such, experimental, installation, although it reportedly saw action. There is a side-view painting of this aircraft in:
Anderton, D.A. and Watanabe, R. Aggressors Volume 3; Interceptor vs. Heavy Bomber. Airlife (UK, 1991)
There is a side-view drawing of the gun in "Rapid Fire".
